STEP UP is a five-year grant program (2017 to 2022) that provides training and assistance to teachers in order to improve academic outcomes for English Learners (ELs) in Kansas City, KS Public Schools (KCKPS).

STEP UP (Supporting Technology, Educators, and Parents for Upward Progress) provides English language instruction in a fun, family-oriented environment on 5 consecutive Saturdays mornings each semester. Bus transportation, childcare, and a light meal are provided. Eligible participants are KCKPS ELs and their parents and family members. To learn more, contact your school building's ESL aide.
